The Story Behind IoTMATE
How a research initiative became a full-stack IoT automation company.
The Beginning
It started in 2013 as an R&D initiative in smart home automation. At a time when interoperable IoT devices and end-to-end platforms were largely absent, we were building voice-controlled smart devices and proprietary controllers - ahead of mainstream consumer voice platforms like Alexa.
The Pivot
When ecosystem-driven players entered the consumer space, we pivoted strategically. Industrial and infrastructure-scale applications demanded what consumer products didn't: deep customization, mission-critical reliability, and long lifecycle support. That's where we found our purpose.
